Misty is a very biddable, athletic, intelligent, multi-talented gal with a ton of heart and unbelievable loyalty.  She is definitely a mama's girl.  She absolutely loves agility and is thoroughly enjoying her herding lessons.  Misty has had three litters of Loyal Spirit Puppies. Misty is now spayed (Jan 2008) and will continue to be the Queen of the House. She really has so many great qualities. She gets along with other dogs and likes people (although much prefers to be with me). She loves carrying around toys, herding sheep, and playing agility. She really didn't much care for the conformation ring and obedience was "ok." Misty had many class wins from the 9-12, and 12-18 puppy bitch classes.  It was about that time we realized what she really enjoyed, (Agility) and we pursued those avenues and trialed her a few times a year. She is very biddable, very focused, very intelligent, and very athletic. With not a lot of training and only a handful of weekends a year trialing, she attained the titles she has. She only has went to a handful of trials a year because our family includes 2 very active kids involved in sports and school, and we have other dogs that we train/trial (so we have to pick and choose who we take), and between heat cycles and being a momma dog...this is just the way it worked out. I believe one of Misty's greatest attributes are her mothering skills. She is an outstanding mother in every sense of the word. From the breeding, to whelping, to raising of those puppies. Misty was bred 3 times. In 2003 she was bred to CH Countrywoods On A Jazz Kick DNA-CP (owned at the time by the Sawyers, Faithworks). Kicks was in the top 20 in Conformation that year and his Junior Handler Tabitha Sawyer and Kicks made the 500 club. Kicks is a Black Tri. In 2005 she was bred to Spring Fever's Walk About OTDd STDcs JHDs HS DNA-CP (owned at the time by Cathy Bishop, Caitland). Walker is a Dark Red Bi out of Chaps and Whoopie Girl. This litter resulted from frozen. Then, in late summer of 2007, Misty was bred one final time to Multi BOB ASCA CH Perennial Ironman of Los Suenos ASCA/AKC CD NAJ RS-N JS-O DNA-VP AKC Majored Pointed (owned by Sally Meyers and Sheila Bonham). Mac is a Dark Red Tri and was Winner of the ASCA National Conformation Invitational in 2005. Since there is no perfect dogs out there,  there are a few things I would change about Misty. As far as looks and structure here is what I would change: Misty as a young adult had a bit of a muddy coat...with age it has cleared up and honestly, most folks don't even notice it...but right before she blows coat...she won't be as clear as I would like. Speaking of coat...she also has a wavier coat than I would prefer. I would give her more neck, make her a bit deeper through the chest, and I wish her ears weren't rose. What else would I change? Well I wish she wasn't so darn pushy on the sheep and worked wider...part of that is her handler though...I take most of the blame ;-)) Misty is my heart dog and in my mind, an all around great aussie. She has passed on wonderful traits to her kids...
